Our Friends Beneath the High Mountain

To all our friends so far away
Hope and peace to you we pray.
Your lovely scenery and hilltop views.
Shining waters and mountains too.
We wish we were with you ..... to look upon.

In a far off country called  Nepal,
You will find mountains both big and small.
Annapurna and Mount Everest to name but two,
Where a Nepali gets a wonderful view.
Of rivers, valleys, flowers and greenery,

The top of the mountain far away is white with snow every day.
On down it is green with lots of tress, plenty of animals, plenty of bees.
People try to conquer our friends live there - watched over by a mountain.

There at the foot of the mountain live our friends.
In a far off distant land beneath a mountain.
Snow capped and beautiful..... they gaze into the sky.
Its peak they never see

The shadow of the mountain hanging over us.
Defends us from trouble and watches over us both day and night.
It provides us with fresh water and shelter from the wind,
