Schools promote responsible action towards living balanced and sustainable
lifestyles that may be maintained throughout life, aiming to improve
consequential community wellbeing, by having access to explore and gain a closer
understanding of health and climate messages, in order to actively respond
towards this awareness of change, both locally and globally. Community
organisations play a vital role in improving life for local people.
Adolescents have expressed ‘boredom’ hanging out on the streets and
therefore are exposed to higher risk of health interference, such as smoking,
misuse of alcohol and drugs, obesity due to lack of exercise and consumption of
high fat, carbohydrate and sugar foods, all increasing the tendency toward
depression, transmission of sexual diseases and teenage pregnancy.
Older residents, who may feel isolated or lack motivation to integrate
into society, can express their valuable ideas.
Working or unemployed families or single people can find support offering
opportunity of shared knowledge, inspiration and learning, promising a sense of fulfillment
and building stamina and commitment towards growth, which improves
life in a safer environment for local people. |
