Program Profile: i)
The Philosophy of
CASSO: Every
child, irrespective of parentage, is potentially capable of living a successful
life. ii)
The Vision: A
healthy, self-motivated and
skilled young
generation living a purposeful
life. iii)
The Mission: To
build hope and provide sustainable nutrition / health support as well as
appropriate vocational skills to orphans as means of ensuring survival and
development into successful citizens.
The Aims
and Objectives: -
To build positive attitude (Life-skills Development) towards life among the
orphans. -To
provide sustainable income, nutrition and health support to orphaned children at
their foster-home. -
To equip the orphans with appropriate vocational and business
skills for self-reliance. iv)
Target Group: The
orphans (youth and children) below 18 years and their Care-givers in 21
Sub-parishes of Gayaaza parish. The
programme though Catholic Church founded, does not discriminate affected parties
against their
religious, tribal or political backgrounds. V)
The Formation
Process: CASSO
has evolved
from a humble background with a strong
commitment and focus on designing
and implementing an effective intervention mechanism to halt and reverse the
adverse effects of HIV/AIDS manifesting among orphaned
children and youth. Since
2001, based on its vision and
core objectives, CASSO has established itself on a strong
and reliable foundation that
shall gradually
enable it meet
its ultimate goals. The following stages have been very crucial in this
