Bursaries

Manyangwa Modern Primary School understands the problem of the needy children, those who at times look at themselves as social outcasts due to diseases and wars that have left many parentless, poverty which renders some parents unable to support their children’s educational needs, and many of these children have guardians who can’t meet their school needs, some can’t even afford scholastic materials.

It was to the knowledge of these problems that the school launched its bursaries scheme in 1996. The scheme is currently benefiting 85 children. There are lots of children who’d benefit from the scheme, some in school, some still around the villages, but because funds got us limited, we regrettably fail to reach out to all of them.

Because of the problem of limited funds, we set conditions that pupils have to meet in order to qualify for the bursaries

-         A child had to be so good academically, we therefore identified the best five children from all the 7 classes.

-         A child who exposed his/her natural talent extra-ordinarily in sports, music, Dance and Drama, art and leadership was also considered.

-         Children whose parents/guardians can’t raise fees, but can support the school by providing agricultural produce to feed the children at school, participate in the construction work at the school by providing labor during such activities and brick laying also get a chance to enjoy these bursaries.

All children catered for her are the needy/disadvantaged.
