The college is
proud of its friendship with some generous and kind individuals and
organizations who on several occasions have provided it with assistance from
material to moral and spiritual support: Great
appreciations go to A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of
Peace. The College has greatly benefited from its friendly relationship with the
Youth Ambassador. He has provided a number of sports equipment to us, and
together with one of his co-liaison officers in Uganda, Mrs. Victoria Brasier is
co-patron to the college’s football team. The Youth Ambassador’s support is
over-whelming, he has even extended to us these web pages from which you can
read from us. The college
received ten balls, three of which are for the netball team, four for the
football team and three for the volley ball team from its friendly organization
(the Sports Out-reach-Uganda). The organization even sent a delegation to visit
the college twice in 2006 and addressed students on Godly and worldly affairs. The college
also has relations with Children International an organization in USA. It has
been receiving donations in form of text books which are used to instill and
promote a sense of reading among students. In a similar
way, the college at the beginning of January received a “periodic table
chart” from one of the local chiefs of the area Mr. Kizza Sseninde. Worth
noting is the offer the college received in June 2006 of ten Computers and one
printer from the ministry of Education to enable the teaching of computer
lessons and imparting of computer skills and knowledge to the one young ones so
as to produce computer literates who can favorably compete in this era
of “computer Wizards.” In this regard therefore, great thanks and appreciations are extended to these friends for their sincere generosity towards Gayaza Cambridge College of St. Mbaaga |
