HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE COLLEGE

The College began in 1997 by three friends who contributed initial capital that was used to put up three small classrooms and a few other facilities with which the college opened.  It started as a private secondary college with only 22 students, two of whom were girls and the rest boys

On discovering that the costs of running the college were too high and increasing, the founders unanimously agreed to sell it off to its current principal –Mr. Kakinda Frank Mbaaga who then took the initiative to re organize it by restructuring its administration, which he gave to new and efficient staff headed by Mr. Zziwa Vincent, the headmaster, assisted by the college bursar Mr. Kawooya Jimmy, the estates manager Mr. Lwanga Steven and the Director of studies Mr. Arinaitwe Festus.

Upon completion of the purchase, this new principal with assistance from the natives of the area and a few foreign friends of his injected some money in the construction of more classrooms, dormitories and administrative offices at the college site.

With the new headmaster in 2005 a step was taken to register the college with the Uganda Ministry of Education which was met with success and the college was confirmed as an Ordinary and Advanced Level Secondary college with registration number PSS/G/40.

Later on in 2006, with the efficient management provided by the new administrative staff, the college secured a UNEB centre number (U1979) for both “O” and “A” levels authorizing it to conduct both ordinary and advanced levels final exams from the college.

Indeed since the change of ownership, the college has been progressing in all aspects including academics, discipline, size of the staff, co-curricular activities among students as well as the students’ population.
